The ServSwitch Wizard IP only requires a KVM connection to your servers and doesn’t need any software to be loaded on the controlled computers. Unlike software-only remote access solutions, the ServSwitch Wizard IP provides full control even during computer bootup.
Each Wizard IP contains a genuine embedded VNC (Virtual Network Computing) server and may be securely accessed using a VNC viewer or a web browser running Java. No extra software “seat” licenses are needed and private or shared access modes are supported from up to four viewers. A local “feed through” KVM console connection is provided and an on screen display makes setup, configuration and control easy.
The ServSwitch Wizard IP is a new generation KVM-via-IP product that enables you to access your computer consoles or ServSwitch from anywhere in the world using an IP network or dial-up connection. The ServSwitch Wizard IP only requires a KVM (Keyboard, Video monitor, Mouse) connection to your servers and doesn't need any software to be loaded on the controlled computers.

You can always expect new and elegant technology from Black Box and ServSwitch Wizard IP is no exception. Innovative “in picture” configuration menus simplify the viewer into a single software application and enable easy operation and network configuration. Enterprise grade security, specifically designed for VNC, is implemented using AES 128 bit encryption and RSA 2048 bit public key authentication. For maximum security, encryption keys are generated using a unique entropy collection process.
A security white paper is available. The ServSwitch Wizard IP's advanced video acceleration engine provides remarkable screen update performance when used over a LAN. Because the picture is transferred digitally, high colour and picture fidelity is also achieved at LAN speeds. State of the art data compression techniques are used to ensure practical remote control, even at dial-up connections speeds as low as 33Kbps. Adaptive mouse synchronisation technology is used to ensure that the viewer's mouse position predictor is kept in accurate alignment.
