New Seminars for Control and Conference Rooms: Fresh Ideas for KVM / AV Network Management and Intelligent Collaboration

Munich, February 2017 – Black Box, a leading specialist for KVM, AV signal distribution and IT networks, will be hosting seminars in Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, and the United Kingdom starting from 22 February. In two separate, free-of-charge event series for control rooms and conference rooms, attendees have the opportunity to learn about new technologies in the field of signal transmission, network management, KVM for virtual infrastructure, intuitive solutions for digital collaboration, and room automation/scheduling. In addition to technology outlooks, there will also be ample opportunity to experience brand-new systems live and to share experiences on the planning and implementation of IT systems with other participants.

Intelligent and future-proof infrastructure for signal distribution is now more than ever an important part of planning modern control and meeting rooms. These systems ensure the reliable visualisation and transmission of critical data in control rooms, enable operators to switch between different applications and PCs intuitively, and facilitate sharing information between control rooms and the personnel onsite. The same is true for meeting rooms: well thought-out meeting rooms and huddle spaces enable meeting participants to exchange content intuitively and easily, thus enabling more efficient meetings.

During the one-day seminars 'The present and future of operator- and administrator-friendly control rooms' (control rooms) as well as 'Achieve better meeting efficiency through modern technology' (conference/meeting rooms), experienced application experts and technicians explain the latest technology trends, provide practical tips for planning, and share their experience in connecting KVM / AV infrastructure and user-friendly IT solutions. In addition, there is ample opportunity to exchange experiences with other seminar participants as well as hands-on sessions, in which technologies and products can be tested directly.

"Current technology developments offer tremendous potential for both efficiency and ease of use, whether it is wireless collaboration through intuitive platforms or the operation of AV / KVM systems via touch screens," says Hans-Peter Kuhnert, Vice President EMEA & APAC at Black Box. "The distribution of video, audio and USB signals over IP as well as the associated security concerns and implications for the connection of IT infrastructure via cloud services are currently omnipresent". It is thus all the more important to provide customers and partners with a way to better understand these technologies in order to be able to use them optimally in their own projects or those of their end-users. "The Black Box Academy seminars are designed specifically to enable the exchange of experiences in a relaxed atmosphere while at the same time refreshing and gaining knowledge of new technologies in the area of AV / KVM infrastructure," says Kuhnert.
