The DCX is a flexible 10- or 30-port high performance KVM matrix solution. These cost-effective switches are designed for small and medium sized applications where fast and reliable switching of HD video, audio and USB is essential. “Zero U” interface powered Server Access Modules (SAMs) extend DVI, DisplayPort or VGA signals and USB over shielded CATx cabling.

Small, yet powerful
Small in terms of cost and size, yet large in feature and performance, the DCX is the ideal solution for process monitoring and control, staging labs, data centres and smaller broadcast studios. Use it in any high performance KVM application where multiple users are connected to multiple computers, even over end-to-end distances up to 60 metres. DCX1000 offers 10 free configurable ports to support any combination of users and servers, while DCX3000 offers 30-ports for any number of users and/or a maximum of 23 computer connections.

Intuitive User Interface
The unique and easy-to-use graphical user interface is more intuitive to use than a traditional text-based on-screen menu (OSD). The GUI shows all connected devices in a layout that makes the matrix simple to view at a glance. Benefit from switching via auto-refreshed preview thumbnails, which are larger and easier to see. Devices may also be switched by using “quick-fire” keyboard hotkeys.

Zero Compression, Pixel Perfection
Unlike other digital KVM systems, the DCX delivers every pixel of every video frame with zero compression and zero latency. In addition the switch truly support single- and dual-head operations, fulfilling the needs of even the most demanding graphical applications and guaranteeing perfect video synchronisation for multiple display applications.

Secure Configuration
Secure system configuration is provided by the tablet and mobile compatible WebUI. The UI also gives an administrator choice of control for all device connections, allowing for video only, shared, private, and exclusive access modes to be setup (In private mode other users are able to view the shared video but have no keyboard and mouse access to the target. In exclusive mode no access is offered to any other user).

24/7 reliability
The DCX utilises locking dual power connections to enable redundant power whilst providing continuous status updates to ensure true 24/7 operation and reliability.

System Design
The slim matrix switch is the heart of the system. The ports are flexible and can be configured as input or output.
DCX1000 allows matrix switching between any number of computers and users up to 10 endpoints. The DCX3000 switch engine supports up to 23 computers. Simply choose the appropriate SAM for each server and run shielded CATx cables from the SAMs to the switch's ports over distances up to 10 metres.

Users can be added freely to the switch. Order one user station providing the necessary interfaces for each user, then connect the user station to the switch over CATx cables up to 50 metres length and you’re all set.

You may even use a Server Access Module in combination with a remote user station connected over a direct CATx cable. That way you can establish a cost efficient KVM Extension for DVI or Display Port plus USB over distances up to 50 metres.

Expansion into a Multi-View, Multi-Screen extended Desktop
The DCX series is fully compatible with the Freedom II Keyboard/Mouse Switch (KV0004A-R2). Combine the DCX with Freedom for a multi-screen, multi-view extended desktop. View over 90 sources at once and rapidly select any source with the Glide & Switch function.
Extended range over IP
Combine the DCX receiver the Agility KVM IP-based Extender for a remote access via IP and even VNC.
It is also possible to combine all three solutions DCX, Agility and Freedom for a high professionell multi-screen, multi-view extended desktop with long range extension over IP.
